Occam Systems
Occam Systems has appointed Will Crimmins as Senior Vice President, Revenue. He joins the executive team to lead commercial operations and drive the company's next stage of growth – connecting Occam's technology advantage to the clients and markets that need it most.
Will arrives with eighteen years leading commercial teams in the specialty chemicals industry – a career spent close to the molecule, from field sales and account management to running a specialty chemical business unit and leading sales and business development at scale. He has sold the hard products into demanding markets: oil and gas, water treatment, industrial and specialty applications. He knows this industry from the ground up, which is exactly the fluency the role demands.

The mandate
As SVP, Revenue, Will becomes the chief architect of Occam's commercial strategy. That means bridging the gap between what our technology can do and what the market urgently needs – across all three of the ways clients work with us: enterprise planning, supply chain design, and dynamic sourcing.
It's a role built for someone who can hold complexity without slowing down. Occam operates at the intersection of chemical R&D and commercialization, where AI-driven insight meets real-world material flows. Will's job is to translate that technical capability into commercial value – building the go-to-market engine, growing the commercial organization, and making sure every promise Occam makes to a client is one the platform can keep. He partners tightly with the engineering and technology teams so that commercial ambition and technical delivery move as one system.
His market fluency maps directly onto Occam's portfolio: chemical intermediates across oil and gas; lubricants; coatings, adhesives, and sealants; and consumer packaged goods, including personal and beauty care. These are markets Will has operated in for the better part of two decades, and markets where the difference between winning and losing increasingly comes down to how well a company can source what it needs, when it needs it.
“We're thrilled to welcome Will Crimmins to Occam. He brings a wealth of commercial leadership and deep experience in the chemicals markets, and he shares our conviction that supply chain can be a company's greatest advantage. We're looking forward to building our next stage of growth together.”
— James K. Ferri, CEO + Founder, Occam Systems
Why this hire, now
Occam is building the world's first chemistry-native supply chain operating system – a way for companies to see their full supply picture in one place, surface qualified alternates before a disruption hits, and move from reactive firefighting to proactive, confident decision-making. The technology is real and the market is ready. What accelerates from here is commercial reach.
That's the point of this appointment. Bringing on a commercial leader of Will's caliber signals where Occam is in its story: past proving the model, and into scaling it. He shares the conviction the company was founded on – that supply chain, done right, is not a back-office function but a company's sharpest competitive edge.
“I'm proud to join such an experienced, talented, and ambitious team. Occam is setting the bar high – building from first principles to give the chemical industry an operating system that anticipates disruption instead of reacting to it. I'm looking forward to working closely with our customers and partners to rethink how we plan, launch new products, and source the critical chemistries the world depends on.”
— Will Crimmins, SVP, Revenue, Occam Systems
